A Budget-Friendly Adventure to Sikkim
To enter the state of Sikkim, the nearest station is New Jalpaiguri. Trains from New Delhi and Kolkata run on a daily basis, so it’s best to book your train tickets in advance.

Day 2: Adventure in Gangtok
Morning:-
Begin your day with a breakfast and head to the Gangtok Ropeway. This thrilling ride offers panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, a perfect start to your Sikkim escapade. The starting point of the ropeway is Deorali Bazar which is situated in the heart of the city and easily accessible by most. Built in the year 2003, it connects to the Tashiling Secretariat via Sikkim Legislative Assembly. The visitors can have a panoramic view of the full Gangtok city while taking a ride in this ropeway. The ropeway also serves to de-congest the city, as people can traverse two parts of the city using the ropeway alone. This rope way of about less than 1 km long has three entry points or stops. There is a midpoint stop at Nam-Nang. One can enter from any point and return to same point after touching other two points.
Afternoon:
After the Ropeway adventure, take a short journey to Banjhakri Waterfall, 6 Km frm MG marg . Pay a nominal fee of Rs. 50 for entry and immerse yourself in the natural beauty of Sikkim.
Evening:
Retreat to MG Marg for dinner and perhaps some souvenir shopping. If you’re in a group, the lively atmosphere is perfect for creating lasting memories.
Day 3: Pelling Excursion
Morning:
Head to the Taxi stand https://maps.app.goo.gl/5Pj5VWY1ERv88yFr8 or contact on 9733048929 (Gangtok South west Taxi drivers association) for info on booking of shared cab/taxi to Pelling. Alternatively, pre-shared taxi can be booked at the counters in morning before 7/00 and in afternoon before 13/00 hours. The picturesque journey takes around 4-5 hours and it will cost you 350/person. If you are fond of photography then reserve your front seat in taxi.
Afternoon:
Upon reaching Pelling, explore the spiritual ambiance of Pemayangtse Monastery, ancient Rabdentse Ruins and Sky walk Pelling.
Day 4: Nathula Pass Expedition
Morning:
Prepare for an early start in the morning for Nathula Pass. It’s advisable to pre-book a shared taxi from Gangtok, ensuring a smooth journey. Remember to obtain permits for Nathula Pass in Gangtok a day before your visit. No online permits are issued. Nathula pass is closed for visitors on Monday and Tuesday. Ensure your safety at Nathula Pass by packing essential items. Remember to bring dry fruits and snacks for energy and Camphor to combat low oxygen levels. At Nathula Pass “Walk slowly, Talk less and take deep breaths”.”After returning from Nathula Pass, you can enjoy visiting Baba Harbhajan Mandir and Tsongmo Lake.”.
Only Indians are allowed to visit Nathula. Carry Voter ID/Driving license along with 2 passport-size photographs.
Evening:
Return to Gangtok and enjoy your last night in the enchanting hill station.
